Founded in the winter of 2016, Indigenous Resilience in Music (IRIM) is an Indigenous-led organization with a mission and vision to build community, dialogue, and create insight into the lives of Indigenous musicians and aid Indigenous youth in reclaiming identity through music and the arts in Canada and abroad.

While IRIM music programs run year-round in Treaty 7, IRIM has assisted music festivals in efforts of creating ethical spaces and Indigenous inclusion policies around Indigenous music programming.

IRIM programs focus on Indigenous youth and emerging and established Indigenous musicians in sharing and equipping them with traditional knowledges of music while furthering their creativity through workshops, artist residencies and showcases.

Mission Statement
